maama's commitment to protect the Ocean

We are deeply in love with nature and our planet.
That’s why we chose to collaborate with Ogyre, an Italian startup that supports fishermen and local communities in Italy, Brazil, Indonesia, and Senegal by providing equipment, logistics, training, and financial compensation for the collection of marine and coastal waste.

The mission is clear: to protect marine ecosystems, support local fishing communities, and restore the oceans to their natural beauty, ensuring a better future for generations to come.

Our partnership aims to mitigate the environmental impact of the plastic used in maama products, which is essential for maintaining their quality and safety. To achieve this, we are supporting Ogyre in collecting 1,174 kg of marine and coastal waste by the end of 2026 — an amount equivalent to the plastic used in our packaging.
